Version 2026-05-no-refunds-v1
Terms
Ticket sales are final except where required by Australian Consumer Law or where the event is cancelled. Tickets are revocable for fraud, misuse, or breach of venue rules.
Tickets
A ticket gives the named holder a revocable right to attend the event listed on the ticket. Entry may require ID, age checks, venue compliance, and a successful ticket scan.
Final sales and refunds
Ticket sales are final except where required by Australian Consumer Law, where an event is cancelled, or where Stingytix or the organizer chooses to approve a refund. Booking and payment processing costs may be non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise.
Event changes and cancellation
Organizers are responsible for event details, venue rules, line-up changes, cancellation notices, and buyer support. If an event is cancelled, Stingytix records the cancellation and supports the refund workflow through Stripe where payment references are available.
Buyer conduct
Tickets may be cancelled or refused for fraud, resale abuse, attempted duplicate use, breach of venue rules, unsafe conduct, or failure to meet age or entry requirements.
Organizer responsibilities
Organizers must provide accurate event information, comply with consumer law, privacy law, venue obligations, and Stripe Connect obligations, and use buyer data only for permitted event and support purposes unless marketing consent was granted.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stingytix may hold payouts until after an event to manage cancellation, refund, fraud, and chargeback risk.
